Funerals

Celebrating Life

We visit you at home to talk about the service you would like.  To help with this, we ask questions that allow us to piece together a true picture of what your loved one was like in all the different aspects of his or her life.  We can use little anecdotes involving anyone who knew your loved one, such as neighbours, work colleagues, friends old and new, and family.  We want to learn all about what made this person special and unique.  We want to help you create a fitting memoriam for them, to truly celebrate their life.  All too often, religious ceremonies can be more focussed on religion and ritual.  Instead, we concentrate solely on the life of the person who has died.  Our service can be use as an alternative to a religious ceremony, or in addition to it.  For example, we can conduct a service at the funeral parlour and/or crematorium chapel or graveside as the only service, or our celebration of life can be held after the religious ceremony.

We work seamlessly with you and your funeral director to provide a beautiful, uplifting and fitting tribute to your loved one, saying all the things they might have wished to themselves, such as thanking special people in their lives.  We also talk about the the highlights of their life - achievements, big and small - all the things that you would like them to be remembered for by the people who have come to pay their last respects.  We can also include a musical interlude to give time for personal reflection and verses too so that the ceremony has a spiritual element that should appeal to everyone gathered, regardless of their religious belief.
